Eco Nuts are an organic way to safely tackle dirty laundry with low sudsing and no added fragrance or dyes. The nuts are actually dried berries from a tree that grows in the Himalayas. When they are agitated in water, the nuts produce a naturally occurring surfactant, which gently cleanses laundry- perfect for those that are extremely sensitive. You simply place 4-5 Eco Nuts in the provided cloth bag and toss it into the laundry with your clothes. They will suds up in the wash and act as a natural fabric softener in the rinse cycle as well. The berries can be re-used up to 10 times and as they need replaced you can leave them in the cloth bag and just add more nuts to it as needed – or remove the nuts and put in the compost!

The Eco Nuts Liquid Detergent is made from soapberry extract and contains no dyes, fragrances or fillers. The laundry soap is highly concentrated so you’ll only need one teaspoon for a regular load of laundry. Gentle on sensitive skin and can be used on cloth diaper laundry as well. Their Eco Nuts Ammonia Bouncer is also great for cloth diapers. Troubleshooting issues with ammonia can make cloth diapering a little tricky, but the Natural Ammonia Bouncer is made of plant-derived ingredients that neutralizes ammonia odor on contact. Simply add 1-2 tablespoons of the Ammonia Bouncer to a small basin or sink of water and add your cloth diapers – making sure the bouncer completely touches the diapers. The Natural Ammonia Bouncer can also be added to a spray bottle to spritz diapers in-between washes.
